Join us to meet up with other European families from across Europe to share ideas and make new friends.

Who are we?
Homeschooling Europe is a Non-Profit Association based in Lausanne, Switzerland.
We are constituted with a General Assembly and organising Committee in accordance with the laws of Vaud, Switzerland, and our statutes.
Our Principles
We believe in the fundamental right of parents to choose the best education for their children.
We advocate for the freedom of homeschooling across Europe, ensuring that families have the legal and practical support they need to pursue this educational path.
In order to do this, our founding Statutes state that we:
-
Defend the right of freedom of choice in education
-
Represent / advocate for home educators in and from Europe
-
To the press, local governments, the international community and anyone else deemed relevant
-
Provide accurate information, including links to national support organisations
-
Facilitate the networking of European home educators and homeschoolers including organising meetings and conferences
-
Support families and national associations as needed
-
Facilitate access to relevant research
-
Facilitate research into home education and related issues
-
Defend the right of the parents in the best interest of the children.
Homeschooling Europe provides comprehensive information, resources, and a network of contacts to support families who choose homeschooling / home education.
Our Statutes can be found here
History
Homeschooling Europe was formed by a group of experienced home education advocates from across Europe who, after meeting many times over recent years at various conferences, realised that a Europe wide association would be useful.
After a number of meetings, it was decided that a non-profit organisation should be formed, headquartered in Switzerland (close to the homes of the UN and UNESCO)
